It looks like the painting week at Balmoral is good for this year. I have been notified that there are eight people signed up already - so only two spaces left.
A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to go to the Gardens at Burke Hall which is a few miles south of Balmoral Castle. We often drive past the gates with the painting groups so it is pleasant to be able to tell them what a charming house and gardens lie within.
(Except the stumpery which I thought rather grim.)
It will all look very different but lovely in the autumn with the leaves on the trees at their most colourful.
